During my eight years at Gallegos United, I led The Shop, a scrappy, multi-talented crew that tackled direct response, retail, adaptations, DM, and whatever else got hurled across the agency like a creative hot potato. Comcast/Xfinity was our biggest client, which meant the pace never let up and we got very good at balancing performance with personality, constantly finding new ways to make direct response feel human and branding feel like it could actually convert. It was fast, intense, and occasionally ridiculous, but it sharpened our instincts and led to some of my favorite work from that era.
